How does EasyTour work?

EasyTour is engaged in providing online booking service for holiday houses, vehicles, as well as outdoor activities to Chinese tourists and Kiwis.

Easytour is New Zealand owned, Auckland based business, and we have two subsidiaries which located in China and OZOur main focus is on the fastest growing Chinese tourist market. We cooperate with several large travel agencies in China, aiming to bring more bookings to local holiday rental owners.

Our company also offer 24/7 customer support to our guests.


How to become a member?

If you don’t have an EasyTour account yet, click the ‘Register’ button which is on top of any page. Please use your email address to register, and create your password. After registration, please log in by clicking the “Personal login” button on top of any page, and be sure to complete your profile before booking a reservation.


Are there transaction fees?

Guests will pay the bank transaction fee (equals 3% of the accommodation fee) when making the payments. Bond won’t be charged for transaction fee.


What happens next after I make a booking?

To make a booking, click the button ‘Request to book’. Once the booking request is submitted, the owner will have 24 hours to confirm. During peak times, it may take longer for the owner to respond to your request. If you do not get a timely respond, please contact Easytour customer service.

If the request is accepted, you would receive a confirmation email which contains the contact details of the accommodation provider of which property you booked and the detailed information of your journey.


What if I have to cancel the booking?

When you need to cancel the booking, you should notify us as soon as you make a decision.

Who set the rental price?

The total price of a reservation on EasyTour is based on the night rate, cleaning fee and bond. All these amounts are set by the property owners. Please note that the total price will be fully charged once the owner accepts your booking request.


What must I know about renting cars?

Vehicle rental is another feature service EasyTour provides on line. When house owners publish their idle cars along with the house on our platform, travelers will be able to rent the cars as they check in. The owner and the guest have to agree on the rental conditions and requirements, and there is no third-party involvement.


What Driver's Licence do I need to rent a vehicle?

You must have your current and valid driver licence or driver permit with you at all times when you’re driving. If your overseas licence or permit is not in English, you must also carry an accurate English translation. After 12 months of living in New Zealand you must obtain a New Zealand driver licence. 


As a House Owner

How to list my property?

You need to register an account in order to list your property. If you don’t have an Easytour account yet, go to easytour.co.nz and click the ‘Register’ button on the top of any page. Please use your email address to register, and create your own password.

Fill in as many details about your property as you can, and add plenty of photos – it will save people from unnecessary questions.

You can always edit your listings by logging in the owner account.


How can I offer a mid-term or long-term rental?

If your holiday house is available for mid-term/long-term accommodation, simply click the button with the label “Available for mid-term rental” at the first step of listing your property. Then, your house will be displayed on both regular holiday house and Mid-term rental category.


When and how am I going to be charged for the commission?

It is totally free to register membership and listing your property on EasyTour. We charge 10% of the total rental as the commission to owners on each successful booking you receive via our site. After the payment has been made by the guests, the money will be kept as escrow in the account we trust; and then it will be transferred to the owner’s nominated bank account within 24 hours before the guests check in, with a 10% deduction of the payment as commission at the time.


What to do when I receive a booking request?

When your house has a booking request, we will send you a notification email. You can choose to accept or decline the booking according to your schedule. Simply log in to your Easytour account, click “Orders”, and go through the “Requested” orders for the certain house, and click the “Accept” or “Decline” button as you need.

Please respond to every booking request within 24 hours. If you can’t accommodate them, please respond to it as soon as you can, so the renter can find alternative arrangements.

No fees will be charged on booking requests that are declined or cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start of the rental. If owners had to cancel the booking within 48 hours prior to the start date of the stay, the fee equals to 50% of the first night rate will be charged to the owners (as the service fee) to comfort the guests and arrange another accommodation for the guests in a very short time.


What should I do to get ready for car rental?

We recommend the car(s) that you published on our platform should all be covered with valid car insurance from the insurance company in New Zealand. We will check whether the travelers are holding a valid driving licence once they make a rental request.
